Finance Director opportunity: West Oxford
We are looking for a commercially focused finance director with strong people/team engagement, leadership and process improvement skills. The role will support the direction, growth and strategy for the organisation as well having responsibility for building a high performing finance teams and finance/financial shared service function.
Core skills:

- Organisational Design/structure: Ability to create a high performing function that is efficient in terms of people, process and systems.
- Strategic: Support the CEO with the strategic direction of the business based on financial insight, evidence and commercial facts.
- Commercial: Ability to interpret technical and complex financial information to non-financial leadership to support commercial decisions and business strategy.
- Technical: Qualified Accountant with strong IT/Financial systems experience. Previous finance transformation/turnaround skills would be desirable.
Duties:
- To advise Chief Executive Officer and senior management team in achieving forecast growth, implementing process improvements to ensure that the business can meet these targets and continue meeting client expectations.
- Prepare annual Budgets and Forecasts (as necessary) for THE COMPANY and subsidiaries with underlying commentary and supporting detail as necessary.
- Preparation of monthly Management accounts and annual Statutory reporting for THE COMPANY and its subsidiaries in accordance with relevant reporting/filing requirements. Liaise with the group Finance team to meet Group reporting requirements.
- Cash flow forecasting and related Treasury matters for THE COMPANY and its subsidiaries. Liaise with Group Treasury as appropriate to maximise Cash management and Interest income.
- Maintain strong relationship with primary Bankers in each jurisdiction.
- Compliance with all Finance, Tax and VAT reporting requirements in all jurisdictions where THE COMPANY and its subsidiaries operate.
- Monitor current and future legislation/requirements and, in liaison with THE COMPANY Compliance Officer, oversee implementation of these in all jurisdictions.
- Liaison with Group Finance counterparts (based in Germany) as necessary.
- In conjunction with Chief Executive Officer and SMT develop and implement IT strategy. Lead IT department in implementation of IT initiatives to enable continued business growth/realise future efficiencies.
- Provide guidance to Head of and other senior business managers to ensure practices, policies, procedures and reporting are optimised to provide the best service to clients.
Key Tasks:
- Corporate reporting, budgets, cash management and Tax/VAT compliance in UK as well as a small requirement for Spain and Portugal plus any other regions where the business operates.
- Implementation of Group guidance/policies
- Technical advice/guidance to business on tasks/projects
- Liaise with Operations/HR and other functions as required to ensure business is at forefront of new legislation and emerging trends
