    Programme Manager - Surrey

    Project Manager/Programme Manager

    This is a role for an experienced programme manager / project manager with experience from the built environment /Civil Engineering world ideally with some experience of energy efficiency/renewable energy projects.

    The role will initially be focused on the management of a single programme consisting of 21 sites managing the full end to end project lifecycle to deliver improved Heating solutions and energy efficiency.

    This programme will cover an initial 2 year contract for the delivery of Heating and Energy Efficient solutions for multiple sites within Surrey. The Programme Manager/Project Manager will manage the full end to end delivery process including the Design, tender and management of any 3rd party contractors to deliver their solutions relating to the following:

    · Heating Plan Conversion (Air source Heat pumps and/or potentially solar Pv)

    · LED Lighting

    · Insulation

    · Window/Glazing

    Responsibilities & Tasks.

    The Programme/Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the delivery of the low carbon projects that arise from our step-by-step risk reduction process. The essence of the PM’s job is to lead and coordinate the work of in-house staff, associate consultants and engineers, contractors and suppliers to deliver projects to the satisfaction of the client. Specific tasks will be set by the Senior Management Team.

    · Managing stakeholders throughout the whole project lifecycle.

    · Drafting tender documents and the Invitation to Tender (ITT), managing the tender and evaluation processes.

    · Preparing the project delivery schedule and managing both the client budget as well as internal P&L for the project.

    · Ensuring Health and Safety requirements and regulations are adhered to and that obligations under Construction Design & Management (CDM) regulations are managed

    · Ensuring projects are completed to meet specified requirements and any outstanding tasks are completed.

    · Supporting clients with the application for government subsidies and any grants

    · Organising internal project-related housekeeping such as correct online filing of all project documents and timely submission of invoices.

    In addition/longer term you may also be involved with:

    · Presentation of technical options and solutions to clients.

    · Identification of further opportunities with existing clients.

    · Capability review of potential and existing suppliers and contractors.

    · Continuous analysis of renewables/low-carbon technologies and other energy efficiency measures, including costs and potential subsidies, to ensure that we are offering our clients the best options and are prepared for new options as they become viable.

    · To manage and develop decarbonization plans and alike for clients with the aim of these developing into future implementation projects

    Essential Qualities

    · Project Management experience within an engineering field ideally including some experience of renewable technology, renewable energy, energy efficiency or decarbonization projects.

    · Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

    · Highly organized and proactive in managing workloads/upskilling

    · Competent with IT and fully conversant with common packages such as Microsoft 365 and able to use basic project management tools.

    Highly Desirable Qualities & Experience

    · Engineering degree or similar

    · Knowledge of the renewables technologies industry
