    Supported Living Service Manager

    This is an exciting opportunity to join an incredible charity that provides support services to people with learning disabilities, based at two sites next to each other in Warwickshire.

    This is a 6 month fixed term contract, as it’s maternity cover.

    The aim:

    The aim for this role is to oversee the effective, outcome focussed day-to-day delivery of high quality support, meeting the requirements of the contract, in relation to hours of support provided.

    To promote and encourage a culture that works towards empowerment, engagement , also values equality and diversity and is proactively targeted to achieve levels of independence and fulfilment appropriate for each Customer.

    The role:

    • To ensure the service has appropriate management support to effective care delivery and where required to deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager.
    • To be responsible for ensuring that all Customers receive the appropriate level of quality care and support.
    • To lead on the allocation of support and to be responsible for the management of individual workers caseloads.
    • To ensure all individuals supported by the service have an up to date Support Plan and that reviews are undertaken in line with the established evaluation process.
    • To oversee the Management of medication ordering, storage, administration and disposal and that all standards are maintained in accordance with established medication protocols.
    • To be committed to continuous improvement, innovation and advances in supporting practice and approaches in Learning Disability practice.
    • To support the development of any necessary tools and resources to ensure that the service is effective and successful.
    • To manage and oversee the structuring of support systems within the service e.g. staff scheduling/rotas, support registers and the monitoring of action plans etc
    • To ensure that day to day issues are addressed (including problem solving where required) and systems are maintained for effective delivery of the service.

    Experience Required:

    • Proven track record of working in a care or support role
    • Experience in managing and motivating a multi-site staff team
    • Experience in dealing with individuals with challenging behaviours                            
    • Experience of working with a wide range of agencies                                                 
    • Experience of monitoring and evaluation
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Highly organised with the ability to manage changing priorities
    • Customer focused
